who needs sleep?

I’ve supposed to be keeping this thing updated with what I learn weekly in internet technologies but it always slips my mind. Due to this, my first actual update will be a summary of what I’ve learned thusfar. The internet is much different than the world wide web and came way before it. It started in 1948 with networking, but it was actually invetned in 1973 by Ray Tomlinson. The world wide web(or www) was started by Tim Berners Lee in 1992. The internet can be used for things such as email, aim, ftp and newsgroups. A URL is a web address(uniform resource locator.) Http stands for hyper text transfer protocol. I also learned about a lot more people who invented things we use today, people such as Vinton Cerf(created TCP/IP), David Filo and Jerry Yang(created Yahoo) and Sergery Brin and Larry Page(created google.) This class has pretty much been all new information, I must admit I was pretty ignorant to everything the internet was, I was just someone who knew how to surf it.
